Cara Dillon is traditional Irish folk singer. I figured since she isn't widely represented on Youtube, I'd share what music I have of hers with you all. On a personal note, she's one of my favorite traditional Irish vocalists- her voice is amazing and clear. :]

This is the fifth song on her fourth album, Hill of Thieves (2009).

  • It's sad to know that wonderful music like this gets swept under the international rug while crap acts like Miley Cyrus and Gaga get worldwide attention.

  • @spaceylacey83 i agree they can't even sing

  • @spaceylacey83 -- I couldn't agree with you more! Lady Gaga has an average voice. She just gets all the attention because of her bizarre costumes. Crazy. And then we have Cara Dillon and her sister, Mary, who sing like angels and ... well, most people in the US wouldn't know them at all. Sad. I'm doing my part to spread their work to the masses in this country! (USA)

  • False, false have you been To me, my love How often will you change your mind? But since you've gone and left me for another fair one I'm afraid you are no more mine Ah, but I would climb a tree that is too high for me Asking fruit where there weren't any growin' I was left in warm water from beneath the cool clay And against the stream I was rowin' False, false have you been To me, my love....
  • I remember seeing her when i was about 15 in her band "oige", that was where i first heard her song "p stands for paddy". Clearly her voice has only improved over the 16 years since i saw her live!! Nice one spooky!
