Dr. Strangelove is my favorite film of all time.
Scott's performance as Gen. 'Buck' Turgidson is timeless; especially with his B-52 bomber speech
"HAS IT GOT A CHANCE? HELL YEA...."

Thank you so much, a wonder man a great actor, they don't make actors like this anymore. Loved him in Patton, and A Christmas Carol. Plus so many others, as listed here. Thanks!

He is certainly among the finest actors who could be interesting & compelling without even moving, or even if they made a mistake..like De Niro, Hopkins et al. If you read Legion, by William Peter Blatty, you will hear George C Scott's voice as Kinderman from Exorcist:Legionthe film, throughout. Remarkable presence.

One of the finest masters of his chosen craft in my lifetime.
His portrayal of General George Patton seems emblematic to me, of why they invented the Academy Award.

He ws an awsome actor. This is a nice tribute, thanks.

City of Angels theme is awesome but bit out of place here... needs more editing.... yes, a great, great actor...

Patton has to be one of the greatest movies ever. When I think of General Patton I don't think of the real Patton; I picture George C. Scott. Haha.

Great tribute, very clean shots. He was one of the greatest..

Simply put, the finest actor of the 2nd half of the 20th century. As genius as his work was in PATTON; his performances as Paul Newman's antagonist in THE HUSTLER, the doctor in THE HOSPITAL, and the con man in THE FLIM FLAM MAN are as fascinating and mesmerizing today as when I first saw them.

How come George refused his Oscar for his role in "Patton"?
one of the greatest actors ever.

One of my all time favorite actors. Nice tribute. I would have liked to see a shot of him as "Scrooge" when he did A Christmas Carol back in the 80s. I have that one on DVD, and it gets played every Christmas in our home. He was truly magnificent.
