It was 0.4 seconds from the tyre blowing to it all going wrong, no one could have saved that. And he didnt deploy the parachute on his very last run, he wasn't intending to until he reached the end of the runway. The videos and the top gear episode clearly shows no parachute and the tyre completely blew off. i HATE it when the media twist stories, when they knnow exactly what happened :/

What a ridiculous story, riddled with inaccuracy and false statements. The parachute was NOT deployed. In car video footage clearly shows that a tire disintegrated, causing a loss of control. Considering the vehicles narrow track, I believe that njo driver could have saved it. Hammond is a very experienced driver and, if I am not mistaken, has rally car racing experience in addition to his vast Top Gear experience. And the "severe" brain in jury was simply a high grade concussion, NOT a bleed.

WTF?! What kind of brain dead retarded dickfaced shit would say that Top Gear TRIED to get the record?!?! Are they against Richard and Top Gear? He went 314.4mph on the successful run. They decided they had time for one more run, so they did and as a tragic accident the tire blew due to the force of the wheel spinning along the tarmac that a small piece of something caused a blister in the tyre and therefore shredded it.

How stupid can a person get ? This just makes me furious for some reason. That man with the glasses saying you need to be skilled and you need to be experienced ? Is he daft ? He probably felt like shit when he saw the footage of what actually happened when he already accomplished what he wanted to do just did it a second time and unfortunately the right tire gave out.
