  • HIS Hulk is my favorite of all versions!

  • @jmedia1 Mine too. Whenever ol' Jade Jaws is mentioned, my mind conjures a Sal Buscema-drawn image.

  • @MANOKSA Me too. Btw, is Sal Buscema still alive and is there a possibility of him attending a Comic con convention in the near future? If there is one artist I would like to meet, it's Sal Buscema. His artwork inspired me to develope my drawing skills. Unfortunately Big John Buscema passed away a few years ago.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s Sal is alive and well, and even has some inking work under his belt for 2011. He worked over the pencils of Ron Frenz on a Thunderstrike miniseries.

  • Sal and John are still my heroes.. i remember being a kid in JR. High School saving my allowance to go buy any Marvel comic they had drawn.. actually the SAl and John era to me is Marvels greatest period all around

  • "Spaceman would cure Hulk? Spaceman would take away Hulk's power and make Hulk weak? Bah! Spaceman will do nothing... but die!" Incredible Hulk #296 cover is F#^$*&^ Awesome!

  • I loved his avengers, defenders, Sub mariner stuff, from 1969 to 1980 or so.Take a look at his great work in x- men 66.He would have been great on the book then. His captain marvel was decent also, that he did but three times,in guest star apperences.Sadly marvel both rushed him, as well as having colletta ink his work,as time went on.

  • @STRONGEST I agree, the Buscema's artwork really made the Hulk very popular during the 1970s and Sal's version inspired the look of the Televised Hulk series. I recall in the late 70s, Hulk merchandizing went into overdrive. John Buscema did excellent artwork on Conan the Barbarian comics of the 1970s.

  • I think Sal Buscema work in the mid 70s to early 80s was the best Marvel artwork of all time. Buscema's superheroes were realistically proportional. His brother John Buscema also did an excellent job on the Conan the Barbarian comics from the 70s. When I think of the Incredible Hulk, the Buscema Hulk comes to mind. A well deserved tribute to an extraordinary artist, Sal Buscema.

  • your so called opinion is bullshit and you know it. your a looser who just decided to go on Youtube one day and be an asshole. find some other way to vent your frustrations over your failed and useless life instead of denigrating one of Marvel's best known artists of the 80s. .

  • @pypeworld Well, when you call him "soulless", it's obvious you are being less than fair in your criticisms; you are implying not just artistic shortcomings, but personal ones as well. Do you know Sal? Have you had some unpleasant dealings with him?

It is fine to have opinions about someone's art style, be they positive or negative; that's what makes the world go round, after all. However, you'll not find ANYONE warm to your implication that liking his work is akin to a lack of intellect.

  • @holseyd Hey moron, I'm entitled to my opinion you ignorant tool. Buscema was a hack who met deadlines. Anyone with with more than 2 brain cells can clearly see that from his art.
