@holycombat --- i agree, but alice and chains is not death metal. Alice in Chains was pure grunge all the way. Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots.  Tool as well, but they were more progressive metal than that.

@Jwall7007 I know, it's kind of a shame... I have respect for some rap, but generally none for death metal. If all the good voices flocked back to hard rock again, I'd be fine for the rest of my days... sigh.

@holycombat also people are more into the death metal shit were you cant even understand what their saying. Their isnt much hard rock/grunge whatever you want to call it out their any more. Its hard to find it. Some of Tool's songs are good, The butterfly effect is pretty good, I like the less heavier songs from mudvayne and KSE were their not screaming the whole time. Korn is pretty good and Smile empty soul is good. Most kids are either going towards rap or death metal.

You know the problem nowadays isn't that we're out of good singers, the way I see it, it's that the music is watered down so much so that everyone can enjoy it and feel happy about themselves, rather than bask in the true emotional nature of the song.

I agree he sucks at covering this song but it is hard to sing Lane had amazing vocals and i will give him that but write your own crap pop songs and dont ruin amazing classic songs!!!!

but im glad layne spirit is being kept alive.

thats the only thing good about him singing this song.

other than that i think he should not try to sing grunge.
