I'm from the Bahamas as well... Obeah (pronounced o' bear: not too much emphasis on the 'r') is a real thing. I follow the Christian Religion but i'm certain of many persons who turn to Satan for their spiritual power. Many odd sacrifices have been done in the Bahamas and our constitution even warns against dark practices, promising a fine or time in prison for anyone caught doing "strange practices". It is real and it existed before us, we just know better. Only a small minority practice Obeah

LOL LOL LOL LOL I am from the Bahamas and that thing on obeah was so jokey they dont even pronounce it right,,,, its pronounced (o'bear) and mildred just was crazy thats all,,, and that white woman shack catch fire because it made of rotten wood and lightening struck it,,,, a lot of those old houses catch on fire,,,, obeah is more stupid and folly than what they talk about on this show,,,, if you believe in the mess you could become jacked up

Really interesting video... though I don't know why either of these religions are labeled "bizarre" ... the only thing bizarre about them was the dramatic background music and the narrator. The actual content was pretty understandable and not all that different from spiritual pursuits in most religions (these two just have a different expression of the same goals)
