The song "Beautiful Brown Eyes" was written by Arthur Smith, who recorded it in the late 1940's. In 1951, the song became a very big country hit by Jimmy Wakely and Rosemary Clooney.
In 1961 The Brothers Four released an album called "BMOC (Big Man On Campus) with this song.
The first Brothers Four (1957 Seattle, Washington) were Bob Flick (upright bass, baritone, bass), John Paine (guitar, baritone), Mike Kirkland (guitar, banjo, tenor) and Dick Foley (guitar, baritone)
Also, the Brothers Four members were Bob Haworth, Tom Coe, John Paine and Terry Lauber.
Now the Brothers Four are Bob Flick, Mike McCoy (singer/songwriter), Mark Pearson (guitar, banjo) and Karl Olsen (vocal and guitar).
