So whats your main OS when your not working?
I dont see why you cant use like, VIRTURAL BOX and put Vista in it?.
I tried linux but its just too much of a jump for me I am so use to Windows after a few days I gave up and went back and never have looked back :(

@wildkidT I make some screencast videos from recordmydesktop occasionally. But there are not enough videos of people showing their faces and doing special effects with advanced software.

so what do you recommend my xp is good but i only want one os and last time i used ubuntu was great but what os do you recommend?

Linux Mint is very easy to use and perfect for beginners. A lot of experts that I know use Linux Mint because they can rely on the stability very very well. But for just me? I like Ubuntu (the latest version) because every book that comes out it seems is about Ubuntu. Many others are builds off Ubuntu. That's my view.

I'm just curious. Why do you still need windows? I went to Mint about two years ago, and never looked back.

My family home business has a Windows only software linked to Vista. Even if I change it over to Wine in Linux, I still have to go through all the set-ups of the software if it works. It's faster and easier booting to Windows just for that reason alone. Everything else is in Linux.
