  • I agree 100% with you! When the cop reached inside and took the camera he made a illegal seizure of your personal property. He had no legal right to go inside the guy's car without consent.

Since the cop's illegal action was captured on tape I hope NationFilms filed a constitutional rights violation case against the cop.

  • its not illegal to film a public officer or the public itself. you're wrong, except it.

  • LA?

  • I wonder what would happen if I took a camera out of the police mans cruiser or tried to turn off the cops dash board camera ???? what would happen to me. You think I would get a beat down?

  • @ed2276 I hope the guy who was in posession of the vehicle sued for illegal siezure, civil rights violation. I'm pretty sick of cops thinking they can just take perfectly legal property away from private citizens where ever or when ever the mood strikes them to do so!

  • @kngdub1 : Where's your gay-pride now?

  • yeah because he stole the camera. damn "NationFilms", you are retarded.

  • I do not know what is more pathetic? The fact that this dumb ass is trying to intimidate a citizen or the fact that his stupid ass can not figure out where the power button is!!! It has been proven as fact that in most cases you can video and photograph police officers in public day or night. As long as you are not interfering with there duties or on private property! That cop thinks he is god, he is just a POS!!!

  • I like how he say " I'm turning it off".. then asking "How do you turn it off"... LOL FAIL

  • Cops keep a low profile so that they can secretly protect us. This is why they are camera-shy.

  • @blair170 lol seriously..

  • i am annoyed by the people that dont know how to turn a camera off...ITS THE BIG RED BUTTON DUMTARDS...ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS! also people that film stuff for k=no reason have issues...im not gonna sit there and watch a 4 video of the federal reserve..sorry, but its boring.

  • in some states it is illegal to have a "sound" recording.........IE: massachusetts

  • @xyzomz I'm not sure if it applies in NC, but in some states you actually can be (and people have been) charged with illegal wire-tapping for filming the police with cam-corders. In such places, if anyone asks you to not record them, you must either stop recording, or make sure your camera is not recording audio.

  • that is illegal. nice camera by the way.

  • @bg1379

If you would please show me in the NC state law where it is illegal to audio record a state officer on public property. //?

  • Nope. Wrong.

It is unlawful to record a police officers voice (it isnt illegal to take a picture of the officer).

Therefore, by definition, a camera designed to film police officers and their voices is in fact "unlawful"

Oh, BTW, it sure is pretty mature to scream "anarchy!" just for the hell of it.

Finally, the officer is smart enough to know that someone who deliberately is filming is probably going to end up doing something worth filming. But, you knew that, it just refutes your point.

  • Umm... The law says you can except in matters of national security, which clearly this isn't.

You're not in Tokyo where the cops get away with that, Annie...

  • Of course not!
