Mutya was the one that brought a different sound to the band - made it different and gave it the X Factor. Amelle has a lovely voice, but it's just not for the sugababes. Her voice is too flowery and smooth. Mutya's voice had a rougher note and contained more genuine emotional. It sounded amazing next to Heidi's traditional and Keisha's melodic sounding voice.

Mutya Buena can not be replaced. Amelle has the vocal range, but no expression. Amelle needs to express herself more, to blend in with the Sugababes sound.

Mutya was always my favourite, and I'm not being bias but Amelle's voice is just croaky ... while Mutya's had an 'edge' to it, which separated the Sugababes from every other girl band.

Both are good singers but i personally think amelle is better.

I liked Mutya and Amelle. I think Amelle being in the Sugababes was fine because Mutya wanted to leave at the time so it was OK for them to introduce someone new at the time. Keisha leaving to bring in Jade is so not ok though, because she was the only original member and she MADE the Sugababes. They still looked and sounded like the Babes with Amelle in the band, but without Keisha they don't.

Mutya has such a unique voice, it is just wrong having Amelle singing it. I also feel like it should have NEVER been released as a single after she left, it was for her child, and that wasn't right.
