I adore this movie - definitely one of the best films of the 80's. Dan Aykroyd was soooo great and cute - very impressive!!! Eddie Murphy and Jamie Lee Curtis were brilliant as well.
Trading Places is great choice for Christmas time - so entertaining!

Dan Akroyd is brilliant - he plays the part so well that anybody who doesn't know him as an actor would think he is not acting - that's what great acting is!

There is a STONG message in this movie that happened to me I was once rich and I got arrogant, The scene where Dan Ackroyd waits until the butler/chauffer opens the door was me a long time ago. Then God brought me donw just as he brought Danny boy down. It happens. I've even met Jamie Lee Curtis here in Austin, Texas. So let this be a lesson to all. Now matter how high you rise, you can have have a great fall. Mr. Humpty Dumpty.

yeah...this is almost kinna like a Christmas movie...takes place during the holidays...Christmas in Philly...when the butler is hangin out by the limo...it almost looks like Broadway on the upper west side of Manhattan...Coleman had some good advice for Billy Ray..."just be yourself, they can't take that away from you"...I loved the Marriage of Vigaro being constantly played in this movie...Mozart!!...this video is a little off with the sound...at the end..
