The village of Dongche, placed in the Guide county, Hainan prefecture of the Chinese province of Qinghai, is populated by Tibetan farmers living on their harvest. In this valley, school attendance has always been lower than the county average, due to the lack of educational facilities in the village and to the distance (20km) to the closest school, located in the city of Guide.
ASIA built the School of Dongche in 1997 and in 2001 we decided to start with a sponsorship project there.
