  • i need some help my favorite story teller story was in volume 2 part 9 and it was about space robots but i cant for the life of me remember what its called can anyone help :))

  • @hollieconstance1 I think you're referring to Diggersaurs.

  • What? I never knew Gobbolino had more parts to it. I always just assumed that after the hobgoblin got him kicked out of the farmhouse he just went around being rejected by everyone he came across. I always thought the moral to the whole story was that if you don't fit in you never will. My cynicism started with this maxim. You mean to tell me I've been wrong all these years?

  • Gobbolino had four parts in Story Teller 1. A sequel appeared in Story Teller 2 (with five parts). Gobbolino also appeared in two of the three Christmas Story Teller editions.

  • OH MY GOD THANK YOU!! when i was a child I really loved my Story teller books & tapes!! Iam now 36 & grown up but this bring back many memories!!!

  • Life was easier back then. All kids wanna do these days is play computers and watch TV. Bring it back, then all these fat little shits might actually learn a few things, like values for a start... ok rant over. Storytellers great.

  • I have been looking for this on YT for ages. I swear hearing the opening tune brought tears to my eyes. I absolutely loved storyteller and used to listen to them before bed. This really brings back memories, thanks so much for this...not sure where i put them all but will look now.

It's funny can't imagine trying to entertain kids these day by getting them to read and listen to stories in their leisure time....LOL.

  • the storyteller book wouldnt cost £1.95 now a days it would be more like £2.99 the first copy then go up to about £6.99 I still have the books but some of the tapes have seen better days im going to fine my tapes out and put them on my computer now ive found out how to do it.

  • @ladyrider260 Nice one...Your very lucky to have found them. Charity shops are great for finding little gems like these though. Mine are still in my parents loft somewhere hidden amongst all the crap you get in a family loft. Probably somewhere between my old castle greyskull and starwars toys...lol. That loft has some serious shit in it. A proper Alladins cave.

  • @sbubble7819 hahahaha.....that cracked me right up! It's so, so true. Wouldn'tve dreamt of carrying on like the kids do these days, I'd be in my bedroom before Blue Peter! I'm in my early 30's and still have my treasured collection. I missed the last 3 parts as my Mum couldn't afford them, 15yrs later I found the tapes in the charity shop but they came in with no books. 3 years later I found the books in the very same charity shop. One of the most life-defining moments for me!

  • @hollieconstance1 Shortie the Satellite?

  • I think my parents still have most of these. I am going to get them next time I visit. I turn 30 this year and just hearing that theme song totally transports me. I used to know Shortie The Satellite by heart, not to mention The Scrubs and the Dubs, Groger the Golden Ogre, The Goblin Rat, Gobbolino, etc... The list goes on. "Woe betide ye Molly Woppy!!!" Christ - it's all coming back to me. Thanks so much for posting this. It means A LOT!
