Sessions to Dem Senators: Don't Rubberstamp Kagan Nomination for Obama

Today Sen. Sessions encouraged his Democrat colleagues in the Senate to carefully scrutinize President Obama's nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court. Sessions argued that Ms. Kagan is a legal progressive and stated that the American people do not want Senators to confirm a Supreme Court nominee who would impose their own social or political views from the bench, and that such a philosophy is contrary to our legal heritage.

America needs to make Obama and Democrats pay the price for putting Kagan --- a political activist, with no judicial experience --- on the Supreme Court.

So your argument is that a conservative President making the mistake of appointing an activist judge makes that same decision by another President acceptable? And did you just claim that Stevens was a conservative Justice?! Initially that may have been the case back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth during his tenure as an appellate judge, but over most of his career as a Justice he tended to be pretty liberal. Bush and Obama both ignore/d the constitution. Kagan is the same. She does not believe gun ownership is a right yet it is plainly stated in the 2nd amendment that it is a right.

Kagan would ignore the constitution and use her position to legislate. She's never even been a judge. The goal is obvious.
