Hi... Do you know if the standard Seagate 1tb Portable HDD's are your standard satas inside? I to had one of them stink WD passports SE, and had the silly USB connecter already attached... I wanted a 1tb Sata HDD... Cheers for any help...

Sure, the lid is easily pulled off, but only a moron like you wouldn't notice that it bended the lid and will never look great once you fit it back on.

thanks a lot. was trying to open my 1tb freeagent go to put it into my ps3. i got it open but unfortunately it wont even fit in the hdd bay let alone connect.unfortunately seagate and wd tend to just make larger drives whereas toshiba is actually be innovative and creating thinner and larger laptop drives. they now have a 400GB 9.5MM drive.
