Sunshine standing quietly at my door
Just like the dawn my heart is silently breaking
With my tears it goes tumbling to the floor

Once again ........the whole town will be talking........yes they will
And Lord I 've seen the pity that's in their eyes
They could never understand Its her sorrow its not a man
No matter what they say we know she tried

Babys packed her soft things and she's left me...... she's left me ........she's left me
And I know she didn't mean to make me cry
It's not her heart Lord its her mind
She didn't mean to be unkind

Why she even woke me up to say goodbye
It's not her heart Lord its her mind
She didn't mean to be unkind
Why she even woke me up to say goodbye

Goodbye Baby

  • Superbe chanson que je viens de découvrir...

Je ne connaissait que le rocker...

    Great !!

    merci pour les paroles...

  • @hayesman76 IT,S HIM AND EVREBODY ELSE.

  • My favorite Jerry Lee Lewis country song, done during what I consider to have been his country heyday, the late-1960s.

One lyric I don't really get:

"And no matter what they say

    We know she tried"

Who's "we"? Or is Jerry Lee using the imperial "we," referring to himself in the third-person like English royalty does? Knowing Jerry Lee's ego, that's a real possibility! LOL

  • The Killer is the greatest Country singer that ever touched the keys on a piano!

  • Over 800 people have recorded more than 120 Newbury tunes. Check out Mickey himself doing this one.

  • Kenny Rodgers? .........Do you mean Ronnie Milsap ?...........never heard the kenny version.

  • Jerry Lee, your music is so hot!! LOL

  • @hayesman76 No one could sing any song as good as Jerry Lee!

  • NO ONE coule ever sing this song as well as Jerry Lee!
