The bass is fairly light (I own a red one myself). It plays very nicely, the one downside though is that the single coil jazz pickup is quite noisy once you turn it past halfway.

It is a very nice bass. The design is extremely cool. Very thin and light. The sound is nice too. The only but is that the picks look and feel very "plasticky" and a bit cheap.
Otherwise highly recommend it.
