It looks like you had a lot of fun building that baby! Congrats on a job well done. I would have probably attached it to a used stationary bike instead of an electric motor but then again I am obsessed with seeing how many things I could run with a stationary bike! Thanks for sharing. It really looks great!

I'd like to make one. I would want to spin the barrel about 10 rpm. Looks like yours is going about 60 rpm. (if you could find a smaller lawn mower wheel you could cut down the revolutions.) 1) what are the specs of the motor and 2) what is the dimmer switch for? are you regulating current to the motor?
