  • Completey wrong in all areas. Wrong Thai clinch technique, wrong blocking technique for the knee's and the head goes on the inside of the leg for a low single. Good luck with that though.

  • First, placing the head on the inside for a Low SIngle Leg is old-school wrestling, which doesn't fair well in the MMA world. You NEVER place your head on the inside unless you want to run into a back leg knee.

Second, blocking a knee is very different when your intention is to ride it down for a takedown.

Third, when using MMA gloves, the Thai Clinch is very different from wearing boxing gloves.

You are actually 100% correct in traditional wrestling and Thai Boxing, but 100% wrong in MMA.

  • that little guy cant take you down by balling up on the ground and pulling on your foot and leaning on your shin - someone will kill the poor kid.. teach him to do some real wrestling and go for some real leg or hip control, and teach him to be explosive from his low stances.
