The biggest difference is that the American slave was taken from his homeland and stripe of their language and culture. The others were in country slaves who over the spans of time could melt back into their countries culture. In short America was the only raced based system of slavery. To complicate matters further, Americas period of slavery was followed by 100 yrs of Jim Crow laws. African American only became full citizens (the right to vote) in 1964 45yrs ago after 500 yrs in America.

If anything the percentage of black over the decades has declined ; the fertility rate is peanut compare to the Hispanics, who is most going to take over the US. Karma, mate. Australians are well educated. The average person can tell you where Pyongyang is while you Americans think the state of Georgia went to war vs Russia in the Russo-Georgian war.

@TemplarX2 also, blacks are a fairly large minority in america because htey can reproduce without consequence, when blacks on welfare have another child, they get a raise. there are many many black men with multuiple children that they do not support, acknowledge , or take responsibility. when almost 70% of black children are born out of wedlock, the govt is picking up the bill for raising these children, housing,food,medical,utility payments.but you knew trhta being from austrailia, right.

@whitemanwaydownsouth Slavery in Africa was on a small scale. Whites created a demand so large for slaves that black nowadays represent a fairly large minority of the US population and people of African decent (black and mixed) are even a majority in Brazil. Just tell how massive it was. Also Africans slavery is different from the form we know other than in countries such as Sudan where slavery is done mostly by "Arabs". Yes, you initiated the most brutal and inhumane form of slavery.
