While antisemitism is discrimination, so is the recognition of semitic singularity.
Claiming that ethnicity and theology represent a valid political argument for special-treatment is in fact unjustified discrimination.
These are not inherent qualities, but rather contrived social concepts that human beings choose to take upon themselves and impose on others.
Social equality cannot exist as long as individuals assume that they are intrinsically special or superior to other people.
These characteristics are not a basis for persecution, but rather a stark reminder of the vital importance of fundamental human rights.
Human rights shared by all, regardless of ethnicity or theology.
Human rights that transcend controversial ideas like race and religion.
Human rights that must be respected and enforced regardless of cost.
When these fundamental human rights are violated the whole world must respond with unconditional condemnation, not support.
How many innocent lives will we sacrifice on the alter of self-interest?
How much bloodshed will it take to quench the fires of self-hatred?
The same blood that flows in all our veins, the same innocence that each of us is born with.

All human lives are of equal value, that is the essence of human rights.

While I agree that the number of Palestinian casualties are grossly disproportionate, that does not excuse the Hamas rocket attacks, which also constitute a violation of fundamental human rights.

I am not taking sides. More death and destruction will not bring peace and justice to the people of Gaza!
