No, I haven't read this book... I was thinking about books like Jane Eyre, North and South, Little Dorritt and sometimes Jane Austen's books, were there are often some "attacks" against French people... Maybe I should read a Tale of Two Cities, I'd like to read Our Mutual Friend too. And I don't understand either this "joke" about frogs: I've never eaten a frog in my life (disgusting!) and I've never seen frogs on a French restaurant menu. French people eating frogs IS a LEGEND. ^^

Always something against French people in British books... And I'm French!!! I adore English books but I feel hurt every time I see that British people don't like us.... I don't know why! It is because of Napoleon? He died a long time ago now!!! Something comforts me: Scottish people like us! Scotland rocks!! ^^

Lots of women encourage the interests of men they have no intention of being with because they've been groomed from the cradle to be nice, and turning someone down in a very forthright manner is not 'nice'.
