Funny thing about this video is that I rode on #8513 when it was still in service up 14th St. on the 52 Route. These buses sounded so good. The older ones numbered 8000-8100 sounded better.
love those, I probably rode 8513 when it was in service. One thing, they had no power steering from what I can remember. You fought that thing all over town.
We had the transit and suburban Flex here in Jersey, ours were powered by 8v71 engines (40ft.)and our 35ft. were powered by what you hear in the video, obviously this bus has a broken muffler but it's ok im loving the sound
now im a little young but i do remember those buses and miss them like crazy and my mom works for metro and she loves nothing but the new buses but oh well cause we all know why they had to get rid of them don't we? lol

The bus is a 35 foot slope back built in 1979.
