@rcmodder Of course. Normal people don't start wars; governments do. Secure in their safety the old farts happily send young men to fight and die for them.

That's the blessing of nuclear weapons. The FIRST people to snuff it would be the old farts, so they don't start any trouble unless it is some backward little country filled with brown people they can safely pick on.

Governments were the biggest murderers of the 20th century. Lets hope they are atomized into small states of at most a few tens of million people in each. Lets hope they stay out of entangling alliances.

Gets me depressed knowing that both sides stopped to meet one another and as the video said "exchange addresses" so they can talk after the war.... We all know the fighting resumed after that day and I can't help but think these guys may have shot and killed their newly aquired friends....

@icemanicky yea thats true in ways but you have to remember that wastern european politicians had to think of public opinion. Also, its been a good 60 years, there are massive differences in germany and poland socially. a black person i once knew had bananas thrown at him in a polish airport! try that in germany and you would get arrested as a racist.

Oh...and if you want to keep someone out...i'd say, without the south...Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece - they're the ones dragging europe down, with their unwilling ti work and 10-13, 14-16 work hours... and gigantic public debts

...all of the east seased to exist as democratic sovereign states and fell under the soviet boot...that installed comunism and looted every country that wasn't russian. Besides that...all intelligentia and intelectuals that didnt manage to flee...were sent in gulags, everyone that rejected soviets and comunism...sent in gulags. You perceive the east as inferior, but that's just the result of 50 years of living in comunism, under the russian boot. Who's to blame? western promises..that's who!

the east is as it is just becouse the 'west' didn't man up in WW2 to respect their traties with their eastern allies... Poland was cut in two and seased to exist. Romania was chopped off and had to choose between Nazi Germany or Comunist Russia...beacouse UK and France didn't man up! Ro fought the soviets untill

the end...when, with western promises that Romania would remain domicratic and non-soviet-comunist, joined the allies and fought untill Berlin fell. In 1946, thogh...
