Emerging Scottish singer-songwriting talent Yasmin talks to SoulCulture about the crucial role her latest single "Finish Line" had in launching her career as a recording artist -- and landing her that all-important record deal.
Created in a 1AM session with hot property UK producer/musician/singer Labrinth in January 2010 (before his "Pass Out" success with Tinie Tempah), the song eventually landed Yasmin her deal with Levels Ent after playing it to label co-director [and BBC 1Xtra DJ/presenter] Twin B on the tube home from an event in London; resulting in her becoming their first signing.
@spanpinki But thank God she doesn't have a Glaswegian accent - when I asked her on Twitter, she said "Lil Bitta Scottish and English", so there we go, straight from her.
