This Bisexual Red Paw Paw selection is 4 months since planting. Grown by a cutting means that the fruit begins cropping close to the ground.

  • I never heard the papaya and paw paw ever being used interchangeably. I have seen lots of papaya in Mexico. Also, lots of paw paws here in Missouri. Not the same thing at all

  • The name Paw Paw is not only used in Australia for Papaya but also in Africa...OK !

  • I m with you man9897 I am from a tropical country the fruit in the video is PAPAYA I m living in Virginia and I have a paw paw tree and the fruit dont look like PAPAYA fruit.

  • I love Austrian women just love um :p

  • The name Paw Paw and Papaya is used interchangeably for the Papaya Fruit in The Bahamas as well... In fact, the older people even called them Pawpaw's indicating that there is some history of them using the name interchangeably for a very long time. I have just recently learned of the Pawpaw Fruit of the US and the difference thereof.

  • @Gardensnog I lived in Africa my first 12yrs and the past 19yrs here in the US, and for some reason until recently I thought papaya was the American term for pawpaw, but the more I'm for the distinction the more confused I get. I guess it's been awhile since i was in Africa (as a child) so I didn't remember the distinct differences...but only recently learned they are not the same thing...? We even had a pawpaw tree in our back yard but im having troubles remembering the taste exactly.

  • @laotakao A paw paw, not papaya, will grow in zones 4 and up

  • @man9897 its an australian/new zealandism. They call papaya pawpaw over there.

  • North side, southern hemisphere; south side, northern hemispere.

Nice papaya tree. I love papayas.

  • I never heard of paw paw, not listed in dictionary. Are they the same or different fruit tee? Why some tree are very tall, but the one shown on this video is short?

  • @nijaexhile3 lol well, it is called a papaya, look it up, it doesnt matter where you come from, there is a papaya tree and a paw paw tree, and they are completely different, and to be technical your statement wasnt 100% true either, " False. Thats what theyre called in Africa as well". you meant to say all 154 million people in nigeria call them that.
