Scary when you use the carpet knife, it can break when you do that. :D Why is the oil filter so small?

Yeah, of course one must be careful when using a utility knife, it is however, useful in this application. I believe the filter is small to minimize pressure drop in the system, to allow for quicker warm-up, and for whatever other reason good or bad

why did you clean rivets of drain plug when they can stop a leak I understand doing the top that touches the oil

I'm not sure what you mean by "cleaning the rivets of the drain plug" would you please rephrase your question or give another reference?
