  • I've hated the Prius for a long time, but damned if it isn't starting to wrench some like out of me. The previous-generation especially, I like how it looks. You mentioned the roofline of this one being approved, I disagree, I much preferred the further-forward peak of the second-gen. It gave the car good proportions, except for the tiny wheels.

However, for me, the ultimate Prius is one with a blown 426 Hemi taking up the space where the rear seats belong. Behold the Judas Prius!

  • Congrats on the 71mpg over a 40 mile circuit. I have only managed 71 mpg for 10 minutes... this is a fine automobile.

  • You also mentioned that you wished it had a better display for electric only mode. If you depress the accelerator and the display continuously reads 100 mpg, you are in electric only mode. Returning to the back up beep for a moment. I was parked only three feet or so from a closed garage door... had I not "missed" the beep that happens when in reverse... I'm not sure the garage door would be intact. Not to mention the relationship with my lady !!! Never disable that beep.

  • You have the best 2010 Prius video review that I have seen to date stevehammes.

I have owned a 2010 model for a few weeks now. I have the Prius IV in Blizzard Pearl. The solar cell moon roof, JBL sound, navigation, and back up camera are wonderful. I disagree with your mentioning disabling the back up beep. I was taking my lady for a ride, talking about the auto as we were getting ready to back out. I had mistakenly put the vehicle in 'drive'. NOT hearing the beep made me double check. SO GLAD

  • I agree, as a previous GII owner for 4 years, it will take me a little time to get used to this new Generation III Prius. I certainly look forward to learning this new Toyota vehicle.

  • i live in nj, all japanese cars are shipped from the factory to bayonne new jersey, including some european and some gm cars as well.

  • if your on tampa on demand why do you use NJ plates lol
