  • One of the greatest pianists of the last century!!! Amazing technique, musicality, taste, a genius, indeed. It's a pity he died so young and is relatively little known today. Many of his recordings surpass Richter and other 'greats'

  • Agreed. His Rachmaninoff 2 is a benchmark for that work.

  • Just a gorgeous performance by Katchen. Had he lived till his late 80's, he would be known as one of the best ever. His Brahms is just essential, nothing better in that department!
