A mysterious figure materializes from the desert in answer to a young man's prayers... (2000)

Shot on 16mm (b&w: 200sp negative stock. indoor color: 200sp negative stock/outdoor color 50 sp reversal stock).

Black and white desert footage and all color footage shot with a Bolex H16 camera. Black and white footage shot with a Beaulieu R16 Pro crystal-sync camera.

    so you don't have to connect a sound recorder and a camera?

  • Yeah...the crystal-synch motor was built by Pro 8mm (back then Super 8 Sound) for the Beaulieu super 8s they loved to shoot with. One of the guys that did the conversions for the hook-ups worked on my 16mm camera. So it's really simple. Thanks for checking out the film!

  • Oh yes it is. First film I made with audio, first mistake I made with audio! The blimp wasn't shut tight. How embarassing...ha ha.
