@daveinsouthflorida You need the 12-6 cloud! No wonder.

This is baloney! My wife & I went out and blew 10 bucks on the stupid expresso maker, 7 bucks on sugar and 8 bucks on the expresso. Following these instructions to the letter, what we got was lukewarm expresso (took about 30 min. to get started), no form or "spittle" or whatever they call it. Tasted terrrible!
I'm not Cuban. I'll leave making the Cuban coffee to them. Evidently there's something they're doing here they're not telling, Definitely it is was something we were not doing.

At this very moment, I'm sipping my first homemade cafecito, thanks to Don Cabrera. Thank you, sir, for letting us know how it's really done. Delicioso!

Thanx for the recipe .... Where I come from we use sambuca / annisette [either 1 instead of sugar] + 2-3 coffee beans {optional} on top . Did you ever have that ? Its : Siciliano / italiano ... Great video !! MUY BONITO / Bellisima .

Thanks! Most any "expresso" roast will work - beans double-roasted and a finer grind. I found Pilón, Bustelo, La Llave all do a good job, and they cost less than say a Starbuck's blend. It's more a style of coffee preparation.

I just came from Miami, and I enjoyed drinking colada or cafe cubano. After watching your video, I went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and purchased Espresso Pot like you have in the video. I followed your instructions and it is perfect. Thanks for the information.

I moved from NY to South Beach (Miami) and I love drinking this stuff now. It takes a lot of sugar for the espuma ( sugar/foam) to be so light and to make it taste " drinkable " so not a good choice for those that can't have sugar :p I love making it though w the lil espresso pot thingee like u have in the video. Good vid.
