At the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Kia introduced the User-Centered Driving (UCD) concept, redefining the future of vehicle-occupant relationships. A fully working prototype of the Kia Naimo EV concept, the UCD system features a digitally displayed dashboard and augmented reality navigation/parking on a clearer (1280x480) and larger (12.3 inches) multi-touch screen. For driver's safety, the UCD system also incorporates the driver-status monitoring system and Color Night Vision (CNV). An infra-red LED and two infra-red cameras function as a safety device to prevent accidents, by detecting changes in driver's eye movement, or identifying potential hazards during night time.
