Patience does indeed pay.

Usually when I am in a stand I get alot of does, the occasional spike and sometimes a good buck. There was one time I had two good bucks at my stand, but I didn't see the 2nd one until after I had shot the first one I saw, and even then I only caught a glimpse of him.

I've heard rumors of some other lucky players drawing in more than one good lucking buck, and this hunting trip it was my turn.

I had one doe at my stand and a spike buck about halfway to me already, then I had heard one other buck from on the other side of the hill and I was waiting to see what kind of friend spike had brought with him.

I pressed the record button as soon as I saw those pair of antlers on the horizen and this is what I got.....

:D

  • what time and place do you play ?

  • after 8am, I usualy start at Southern Lodge but sometimes go to the north one. There really isnt any one particular place I hunt.

  • Dang, they sure come in groups.

  • Not always! This was a shocker for me when all of them came in. lol But pre-rut season you will see bachelor groups of bucks....an does all the time of course.

  • This is a great game to play if you have other things to do, such as eating lunch or reading a book.

  • It is! lol I eat lunch and hunt from the stand all the time.

  • what time would u recomend hunting elk???/

  • I can understand trying to hit the lungs/heart if you are going to get it stuffed for a trophy.

Since its a game though, its not like i'm going to mount the deer and with a shot through the head it won't go running for a bit like it does sometimes if you shoot it through the lungs.

  • @Usakei i think he des that becouse you get to much damage to the deer, its better to shoot it in the shoulder becouse then you hit the lungs

  • you shouldnt go for head shots....go for the heart...its the killer

  • wat game is this?

  • hehe same here, and texting my girlfriend... that's nearly the only time I can play...lol

  • What is the trick of luring them in while sitting in a stand? Can't seem to get it right

  • Why don't you go for a headshot? I usually just wait until I know i'll hit them in the head, and that was before I knew you could hold your breath! Didn't know about holding your breath until a week or so ago, makes it extremely easy (with a scope anyways)

Can't wait until they introduce some bullet drop and make it more than a point and click kind of shooting.

  • most of the time yes
