I demonstrate how to hook-up the regulators on an oxygen, acetylene and nitrogen tanks to get them ready to braze.

The guy in my intro that wears the pink shirt and wig is edbassmaster. You can check him out at: http://www.youtube.com/user/edbassmaster

The music was played and composed by Champagne Millionaire. You can check him out at: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID...

  • If you bring in the gauge and show the person behind the counter they'll be able to match it up for you.

  • thanks dr.

i just bought a victor welding and cutting kit. no bottles yet. i don't have a clue about them, but i plan to cut things out of scrap metal. you know, art work stuff. i hope i don't blow myself up. i never had any instructions but i plan to watch ever video i can find. this one helped already. once i get good at cutting i'll make some vids for you tube.

    thanks again.

    peace.

  • @lardo444 Thanks for watching.

  • Hello dr.z .. Hope u doing well ? Question what do you think of using just a B tank for brazing ? Or do u recommend oxyacetylene for better results?

  • @vrejian If you're going to braze, you need oxy acetylene.

  • @DrZarkloff hi, i have the same as well with the small set and large set, the adapter your talking about sounds great but if i just wanted to replace the guages like you just did, what size do i ask for and where to get them at

  • @DrZarkloff 500 characters or less. Sorry, couldn't fit that in. I empty my hoses after each use.

  • @tstatech Yikes! It is best to purge your hoses after braising.

  • Great video DrZ.

Knock on wood. I've never had an accident with oxygen/acetylene except for the occasional 1st degree burn. 20 yrs ago I showed up on a job just after another techs oxy/acetylene rig blew up on him. He was all covered with soot and P.O'ed. Wish I had gotten there 2 minutes earlier.

I try to always purge my regulators then turn them all the way out after every use so they're ready for the next time I open the bottles.
