i think you are talking about a different tornado. this is not the 98 tornado. this is a way smaller one the following year.

That storm you reference (the one that hit Comfrey/St. Peter/Hanska area) hit in the end of March, 1998; wrong twister. I saw that storm first hand....apples and oranges.

This was definitely not an insignificant storm. The Gustavus Adolphus campus and the areas surrounding it were devastated, just read some of the comments by other viewers.

I live in Mankato and remember this. MY cousin and aunt were very badly injured in this tornado. The were by the base of the hill by Gustavus. Their house go devastated. The whole family came over for the next few weeks to help clean up.

i was in this twister when i was 5. i had to sleep on top of a giant freeezer cuz the upstairs was gone and the baesment was flooding. it was a huge twister. it went right over head. still have scars from debris
