I bring a Praying Mantis outside after it walked in an open window.
I left it on a potted red banana.

  • ahhh I dont think we have those here in hawaii. I have never seen one before. they look scary. Do they bite??? it must love the plant now that u gave it a home!! :)

  • They don't bite people, but they are very good predators of other bugs. Too bad that they also eat butterflies and not just "bad" bugs.

  • " Mantide religiosa " so beautiful and so lethal with her partner.

    Amazing video :-)

  • Do you have the same species in Italy ?

  • Cuuuute!!! It's like my mantis, very similar. I give flies to my little green boy, what a beautiful creature... I love U "Jenks", what a pitty you can only live 1 year :(

  • oh i'd love to pet one! =c)

  • Kinda moves and looks like the cloverfield Monster.....

  • Try staging a video with the mantis eating something :-)

  • I had this urge (when I was young, I mean younger) of catching every mature mantis I could lay my eyes on. Every succesful clip from behind would give me a feeling of dominance...Oh my!...

  • is amazing how relaxed he was around you...awesome vid!

  • lol I just commented bout this on your other vid. You're right that they eat everything, but they do bite people too, just ask my finger. It may only be when they feel threatened. We had put egg sacks in the greenhouses, and when they hatched it seemed like was a gazillion of them! I was moving plants around and there was a mantis on one of them, and he latched onto my finger, i actually had to shake him loose! lol, mean lil things.
