@pdragonproductions I take your not British? I only say that because this is an excerpt from Top of the Pops who were notorious for not letting their acts perform live. There is a live video to this somewhere on YouTube. It's live in Derby in 1983 I think.

@Aireach - It was also probably a bit of a comment on Johnny Ray, who wore a hearing aid and was another camp icon of Morrissey's.
