What does akata mean? I just looked it up and find it hard to believe that someone who talks about the importance of embracing your heritage and social inclusion would use a derogatory term for African American. I know what the term house n means... do you? Using those terms to express a point seems to convey a lack of confidence in your comments. If you are truly confident your point is valid, you don't need to do it. How about you don't be a victim of your own insecurity.

I loved your point of view and love your style but I didn't like the way you came at black women in the states. Black women from africa to london have 'issues' regarding their hair, ethnicity, & too much weave; to specifically single blk women in the states out is bullshit. Fierce you are lil mamma but dissing blk women over here....Also, regarding courage, there are women here with shaved hair, cropped naturals, and st8up fades, just as feeeirce, lovely and bold as urself. This is quite scary to watch.. We're talking about hair at the end of the day, people choose to wear it how they want and twe shouldn't feel like we need to explain our reasons to weare it whichever way.. This is getting silly and SAD!

FYI... African America is NOT a race, its a nationality you may be from Europe and I from American BUT we are the same race. I get your point BUT you come across as ignorant! I spent some time in England this past year and I saw sooooo... many weaves, wigs etc. So maybe African Europeans are trying to look more like your queen. You figure it out, don't be so hateful!

When an african american is being criticize, so is the haitian,is the nigerian, is the dominican, is the brazilian, is the jamaican...so on and so forth. On this planet there is only one race...the human race. Regardless of how we are treated individually in terms of superiority and inferiority, reality is that tho we are all unique in our function and appearence we are all one body. Wake up people our planet is dying not for a lack of knowledge but for our lack of wisdom. Peace and love sista:)

Really according to anthropology there are only 3 races; negroid, caucasoid, mongoloid...even this is a bullshit evolutionist theory created to elevated some and denigrate others. Personally my cultural ethnicity would be considered haitian but living in america I do not see myself as a separate race from other blacks because when at the end of the day every other "group/race" clumps us all together.

Overall great message and I agree! However you used a lot of separatist words such as "akata", african american race(there is no such thing), house nigga, etc. Mind sets that make use of such words and expressions also set us back. Mind sets like that say that "I am different....therefore I am better". This mind set is also an impedance to the progression of black people.
