I think iam of average intelligence, but this video makes me feel like a genius . I feel just a little bad for thinking that . I try not to get enjoyment on others expense usually . Oh man, how can you not laugh so hard thats your stomach hurts like mine right now .

Nor should you, I'm not advocating blind patriotism either sir. I'm simply saying that new shows enjoy picking out the insipid and vapid among our population and illustrating for the rest of us how sad the state of affairs really is. I agree with you, I think that the average American college student's reading ability is a joke, truly. I don't belong to that group though, and making blanket statements like the one above does nothing to promote "our" cause.

@protossenslaver By the way, I am not from another country. I am a native born AMERICAN but that doesn't mean that I have to always support my country whether it is right or wrong. We may be better than some but that is no excuse. I have lived n 9 countries n taught college in 2, my college students in the US, not all but MOST of them, were reading at the 5th grade level. My students in Central America who had only studied English for 6 months, could read as well as 70% of my college students.
