There is no reason to undermine atrocities, but so did other peoples and other countries and at other times. It still exists.

@KingJimil Yes. And I am NOT by any means undermining the atrocities of the Slave Trade nor calling it into question, far from it but Goree leaves many many doubts as to how authentic it is. There NOTHING to verify its claims or remotely back it up.
I have been there and spent quite a lot of time there.

The "Slave House" and all it legends are false, creatively created to play on the emotions of Black Americans and take their money.
After "Roots" many began to travel to the Gambia, to get to Gambia you must first land in Dakar, Senegal.......the so called ''door of no return" is a joke, the water is too shallow and too rocky for even a rowboat.....I was there a few years ago and it is TOURIST TRAP. Slavery did happen but Goree had nothing to do with it.
