40 years ago today, one of the greatest tragedies that our nation has faced occurred at Kent State in Ohio. I have committed half the video to pics of Kent State and half to pics of CSN&Y, the group that wrote this song. RIP for those that died. No copyright infringement intended.

  • @luvinwafflez do you even know the history of this song??????? I think it was Graham Nash who showed David Crosby a newspaper headline about Kent State and David Crosby wrote this song in just a few minutes based solely on that newspaper story. Are you even old enough to know how many people, of ALL races died in the fight for civil rights and to end the unjust war in Vietnam???????

  • @bigdogdad59 actually, that was neil young who wrote that.

  • @bigdogdad59 sorry to say it but with G8 and NATO summits comin to chicago in May and the way Rahm Emanuel is tryin to do shit..........this is bound to happen again here in chicago......

  • @BarstoolBlues33 Thanks for the correction.

  • @bigdogdad59 David Crosby showed Neil Young the newspaper headline and dared him to write a song about it, so Neil went into the woods and this is what he came back...Crosby didn't write anything. This is a Neil Young song.

  • @bigdogdad59 Uh...Neil Young wrote this song.

  • @GOPsMrDependable Actually that was Johnson & FDR

  • Aside from all of these fags arguing over shit that happened like 40 years ago, this is a pretty good song. The guitar playing is great.

  • I hope next time they come to glasgow i can go see them with my dad <3

  • Two more died at Jackson State shortly after this!

  • this was a time in music when something happens in the government the music industry found out about it and backed up the victims, time when artists used their mainstream ability to spark a message for greater good not more money in pocket, and result = timeless classic and history lesson for future generations. would love to experience 1 month in that generation
