Though I had issues of comprehending the piece when it was first played, now I have to say that Lindberg did an amazing job. Quite a few people in the audience did not enjoy it, but I suppose that just reflects how avant-garde this piece is especially with its incredible exploration of sound.
stations. It was as if despite the insane mixtures of sounds and what seemed to be chaos, there was order in all of their actions.
Most interestingly, after taking a glance at a page of the sheet music, the stage was characterized as "home" which made much more sense at the end of the 1st movement when the day was winding down, the conductor sent out the final jobs (ringing the gongs), and everyone finally marched back to the stage, aka home.
