To declare his love to Haute Couture, Julien Fournié has drawn his inspiration for the Fall-Winter 2012-2013 collection from the world of superheroes, based on the illustrations by Alex Ross (Marvel) and bis heirs from the science fiction comics Sky-Doll (by Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa).
Integarting to the know-how and luxury of Couture technical materials, 3D virtual designing by Dassault Systèmes' FashionLab, metallic glitters, silicon pipings, innovative zippers, the designer has sculpted body shapes with particular cuts and inlays, mixing organza with neoprene, emerald rhinestones with sretch fabrics, mink and feathers with rhodoid, contrastingly textured leathers, pleated tulle with absinth, fuchsia, lime, amethyst, tangerine to contaminate black materials with supernatural energy. Female slender superhero silhouettes can turn their vulnerability into a strong force. be it in a stretch tuxedo suit inlaid with swakara, a coat with seal , a silk jersey sheath, the volume of an evening dress, or in a deshabille entirely made with extra-fine nude latex.
