I have a very good idea which Britten role this cutie shall sing... if I was Nathan Gunn, I would be afraid for my throne. :D

What a divine-looking young man! Put twenty years on him - and he'll be drop-dead gorgeous!
-
I agree, he's very, very, very cute.

Lovely. Interesting hearing it in Deutsch.

Not to mention Britten--love that little dissonnance he sticksd in!

Mensch, ich schwerme fuer Diesen! The "translation" I posted before is not direct, but the way the song is sung in English, in the original John Gay "Beggars' Opera" Laurenxce Olivier made a wonderful movie of it, and only he sang his own part! (pretty good voice, too,--but not like Andfrew Ashwin's!

Wonderful singing! he is awsome!
Cute as hell too. But--that's the beggar' opera tune, with german wods--how come?
Roses and lillies her cheeks disclose
But her ripe lips are more sweet than those
'Press her, caress her,
With blisses her kisses'
Dissolve us in pleasure and sweet repose.
