Yeah, because these types of labels are working SO well in the rest of the world...they try to ban smoking everywhere, yet they're all too happy to tax the crap out of smokers.

I am glad you've has some fun, Adam. But you are absolutely correct - live and let live. People should be able to choose whether to smoke or not to smoke, etc.

@AdamKokesh yeh i absolutely agree with you, i was looking at the pictures on the american packs aswell and they aren't nearly as bad as Australias, i'm not trying to say one is better than the other, just pointing it out. P.S keep doing what your doing

In other words rather than paying the higher taxes smokers would rather smuggle them from out of state, where there is a lower state tax on the product. Or buy them at a "duty free shop". I guess this kind of plays into the reality of putting a tax burden on consumers. Michigan governor Slick Rick Snyder has done nothing but raise taxes on poor and working families and gave tax cuts to large corporations. This may sound good in theory because by his logic "this will create jobs" but he is wrong.

Yeah they raised taxes on cigarettes in Michigan to "decrease cigarette use" and "raise revenue" but studies done have shown they didn't decrease the amount of smokers, just decreased the amount of buyers and shifted it to the "black market" the exact rate of people paying the "outrageous" $2 cigarette tax is the exact rate of smuggling that has happened since they raised the price. Obama put a tax on rolling tobacco, then everybody switched to pipe tobacco because its not taxed as hard.
