You can visit Douaumont, or what remains of it. Yet, rather than play paintball, you might take the opportunity to think about the million men who fought and suffered in hell during months, there, and it might help you growing up to become a human being — not just a consumer.

Well made video. Surprised to see so
much of it remaining intact, given the
pounding it took during the Battle. Respect to the soldiers of both sides
who fought and died here. iam glad
they never knew their suffering was just
to enable some asshole to go paintballing in the fort ninety odd years
leter.

Very good Video, Very sad, so many craters on the field, millions of craters, and pieces of humans under the earth ..

Thanks, leehing, for this video. This place had been for years before 1914 a dull, sinister place where young men wasted 2 years of their life. Then the whole place became a vortex of intense emotions & violence, until it was reconquered by Mangin's divisions in late 1916. Then became calm again. These cold walls seem to have absorbed the shouts, whispers and howls of 100,000s of warriors, and to retain them somehow. It's very heavy, for anyone with any sensitivity.

Well said! Ive been there in verdun and i must say the idea that you are on soil wich is known as the red triangle (red because no where else in the world the soil is soaked by so many blood) and is still the grave of thousands of men never found just makes me cry
i like the music in the background, what the name of it?
