MISSISSAUGAWATCH reveals two lies in an August 20, 2009 letter ostensibly written by Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion.
Bottomline: regarding video surveillance McCallion's letter states:
"Appropriate advisory signs, consistent with industry practice, are installed prominently at all City facilities and properties where video surveillance is installed."
This video shows a drive through BraeBen Golf Course and NO SIGNAGE despite three outdoor Pelco PTZ cameras and an unconfirmed five inside cameras on this property.
Answering a citizen's different question, the Mayor's Office states:
"SOR's and files related to bans are retained for seven years and then destroyed, in accordance with the City's Records Retention By-law. Personal records are not shared with any other organization unless required by law to assist in a police investigation."
MISSISSAUGAWATCH has numerous examples of Youth banning letters secured through Freedom of Information much older than seven years. For example, this ban letter from 1993, secured in 2008 is 15 years old!
Regarding the City of Mississauga and its secretive, shadowy, shameful and shameless Security operations.. Should you ever havesome idiot suggest to you, that "if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.", tell them that MISSISSAUGAWATCH has over $2,000 worth of Freedom of Information as well as audio and videotape to show that the greatest thing for citizens to fear are the unethical "in-house" municipal security knobs who blight the lives of citizens and especially youth and minors.
Rather than the City's laughable and totally bogus "Trust, Quality, Excellence" slogan, City Security should be hailed as the Poster Child for "Lies, Lies --and more Lies".
cutting pieces of interviews should of taken forever to do

Actually no, pieces of interviews or comments are manageable. Remember, YouTube allows 10 minutes max per video.
This particular letter (going from memory here) addressed about a dozen bogus answers provided by the City but focussed on the easiest one to prove --well, a lie.
And it was very easy to prove the Lie.
That kind of ease is rare. Most of MYTHissauga's lies are systemic and need lawyers and a court to unravel --not ten minutes on YouTube.
Abuse of process and power being just two.
