Hanlon Creek Business Park Occupation - Day 1

The Hanlon Creek Business Park (HCBP) in Guelph, Ontario, Turtle Island, is currently liberated territory. It was claimed early Monday morning by peoples resisting the proposed development - a several hundred acre business and industrial park meant to house "life sciences" corporations and industrial buildings. The threatened area is home to endangered species, diverse and beautiful wild areas, a stand of Old Growth forest (part of 1% of intact old growth remaining in Ontario), and provincially significant wetlands. We believe the HCBP is an illegal and irresponsible development, and intend to stay here and keep the land safe until the city capitulates. if you dont want to see progress cause it makes you cry move to north where it will be years till it gets there!! its the way canada is going, canada wont stop letting imigrants comeing hear and we are outta space! so dont even think about getting mad at the construction workers for doing what they have to do because of public demand it is a bad thing that it has to happen but again its progress
