  • how far away from the end do we have the hold the stick?

  • it all depends what and how your playing. If you need to be quick and or only playing a single drum (snare) or you are doing roles, you would want to hold your stick 1/2 or 3/4 of it middle to end. However if you playing drum set and you need arm length, heavy tone and rhythm, then hold your stick all the way at the end just enough so that your fist covers the whole end of the stick.

  • Thats a good way to say it.

  • You want the stick to come out below your pinky about an inch, maybe less if you have big hands. Thats just a general idea.

  • why does this guy play with fucking tree trucks as sticks???

  • everything he said and did is right, but he missed a few things...

  • @goldenboy88x lol i think he hit the snare head with the sticks' tips and, at the same time the rims were hit by the shaft/body of da stickz. :)

  • I have that shirt!

  • My right hand has this sharp pain when I play and I don't know why and I always play with my hands in that position

  • Damn I have to practice grip allover. I held it in the second knuckle and it always slid. So in between my second and third knuckle my skin would peel an it would sting. So I should practicing holding it this way now? It's harder suddenly and harder to grip it slides. Someon help!

  • Thumbs in the wrong position.....
