OMG, OMG JOE LAUZON AND MELVIN GUILLARD

For those that don't know, Joe and I have been talking once or twice a week for the last 6 or 7 months. He's a gamer, he's a computer programmer, and he's a fighter.

Joe is a great fighter but his career has been a bit "win one, lose, win one, etc." It seemed like he'd beat the guys below him and simply made incredibly fights against the guys above him.

This fight was against Melvin Guillard, arguably the #3 person in the world in his weight class. Joe Lauzon was a 3:1 or 7:2 underdog depending where you looked. Not only did he win but he also took home the submission of the night bonus. If Melvin hadn't tapped Joe could have tightened up that choke and took his Melvin's head home with him too. :)

I was so excited about this win I wanted to make a video and capture how I was feeling. This doesn't happen every day. For Joe it will be one of his many life's "wins" and not soon forgotten.

Edit: A lot of people have been asking how I know Joe. We were both fans of each other before we met. He replied to something I wrote on reddit and I was psyched that "Joe Freaking Lauzon" just wrote to me. He said he watched PKA a lot in the live stream and shortly after that I noticed him. A short while after that we had him on the show. I was in Boston for PAX East so and Russia, Kitty, and I went to Joe's gym to film a fight. Since then we've chatted on Skype about once a week, sometimes less, sometimes more. He's one of the world's good guys and I pull for him to do well in his life.
